The Rockaway is only a Walk Away
Beach
Regulations This is one of my favorite pictures. My
guide Anissa brought me to this beach in order to seduce my
senses, and arouse my curiosity. I found the scenery to be
absolutely breathtaking.
The
Human Sandcastle Once in a while I run into a person who
lives in this part of Florida and they tell me that they've
never been to the beach. Why? The beach is the number one
reason to live in this area, it's certainly not the high
cost of living and the high house prices. The beach is relaxing, it's beautiful,
and it's free. Please Visit Bailey's
Popcorn Cafe and Cafe
Press.
Got
Shades? This was my second trip to Largo and
Clearwater. My beautiful guide (seen here) named Amanda K,
was gracious enough to endure the heat the people and the
bright Sun. We took many great photo's that day.
Please email me if you would like to hire Amanda as a model,
she's got the look.
It's
Storm Season Lately we have seen too many hurricanes.
This summer Katrina passed by southern Florida giving us
lots of wind and waves, before strengthening into the
monster storm that devastated the golf coast. Help victims of Katrina by donating to
the red cross. Beach
House for Rent On my first trip to Bradenton, my lovely
tour guide Anissa L, took me to this gorgeous beach. We kind
of toured the town for the first time together, and we found
that this beach is beautiful during the day and at night.
There is a lot of beach front property
for rent, and all hovering around the $1900 a month price
tag, you can no longer be a bum to be a beach
bum. Lifeguard
Tower Number Seven. On this awesome day I was fortunate
enough to take a series of great pictures. Check back for
more images that may include this lifeguard
tower. Lovebirds When you visit Cocoa Beach you can expect
great surf, a boardwalk, and World Famous Ron Jon Surf Shop.
On this day I was fortunate to catch a glimpse of this
beautiful duo.
Mine? Growing up in Toronto Ontario Canada, you
learn to tolerate these pesky flying creatures. In the
Pixar/Disney movie Finding Nemo, seagulls are portrayed as
mindless scavengers who can only say one word,
Mine! On the beaches in Bradenton these gulls
are kind of like the ones in the movie, they'll follow you
around if you have food, and won't seem to give up if you
chase them away.
The Rockaway is only a Walk
Away Clearwater Beach is part of that
coastline that is absolutely remarkable. Not far from Largo,
Tampa Bay. St. Petersburg, Indian Rocks Beach, considered
some of the best beaches in the country. Surf
Day A friend of mine named Barry was bit by a
shark in the hand a few years ago. He just said to me,
"Dude, we're in their turf while we're out there, we have to
respect that. I just say Tecko, get healed then get back out
there. One bi-product of an active storm season
are the great waves. Another bi-product of the tropical
activity is beach erosion. We have a ying and yang of sorts
and I would have to side with the beach saving side. If
there's no beach you can't enjoy it, Miss Karpie wouldn't
have her sea turtles, and all of the condo's would fall into
the Atlantic Ocean. The
Peaceful Gulf The water glistens. I love the silhouette of people on the
beach in contrast to the beautiful waters of the Gulf of
Mexico. If you spend enough time watching the
water you'll be sure to see a dolphin or two swimming
by. Time
to go home One of the hardest things to do when you
live in a harbor city is to go home at the end of the day.
Some days you never want to end. Time spent with your kids
teaching them about life, the ocean, setting a good example
and securing a brighter future for them. Keep our beaches safe and clean, and
we'll be back another day. This photo was taken using an old 35 mm
camera, don't ask the kind. The picture was scanned and
digitized prior to my digital camera days. Please come back and visit
soon. A
Girl at Peace These three images were taken with
Josephine at Vero Beach Florida, just at Hurricane Rita was
passing by the Florida Keys. Rita strengthened to a category
5 storm landed over Port Arthur Texas early Saturday
Morning. Shells
with character These sea shells were not the best
looking shells on the beach, but that all depends on who's
looking at them. These shells have character and could each
tell a story. Rita's
Rage, from afar. Winds, tropical force winds were felt
from South Florida to Brevard and Volusia County. Vero Beach
located in Indian River County, has suffered greatly due to
beach erosion. I have several pictures of this beach erosion
in progress. I chose not to place them on this web site
because it's absolutely depressing to see. Save our Florida Beaches. I was first introduced to this beach
during the summer of 2005 by Jewels A, and if you read this
Jewels- I miss you and you don't have a big butt.
